MDF Healthcare Advisory / Services

Healthcare Business Concept & Launch Advisory

Have a healthcare business idea or a service you want to expand? We can help you assess the concept, develop the operating plan, and carry the work through launch.

Who this is for

For a proposed physician practice, rehabilitation business, new location, or new healthcare service. You can start with an idea and a few questions.

Engagement options

Start with an idea. Choose the support you need.

Each level stands on its own. You can choose an initial concept review or scope a fuller project through launch.

Concept Review

A focused assessment of a proposed healthcare business, service, or expansion. We examine the idea, intended customers, operating requirements, resources, and basic financial assumptions, then identify key risks, unanswered questions, and practical next steps.

Feasibility & Operating Plan

Investigate the market and demand, compare alternatives, develop financial assumptions, and map staffing, workflows, resources, and launch requirements.

Launch & Implementation Support

Get help developing the materials, coordinating setup, tracking responsibilities, and supporting the business through launch and its early operations.

Project scope

What the work can include.

Assess the concept

Examine the proposed business, service, or expansion in relation to its intended customers, operating requirements, resources, and basic financial assumptions. Prepare a concise written assessment of key risks, unanswered questions, and practical next steps, then discuss whether and how to develop the concept further.

Define the operating model

Map how the service would work: people, capacity, processes, dependencies, referral pathways, and the resources required.

Develop the launch plan

Prepare a phased plan with decisions, responsibilities, budget assumptions, milestones, and measures for evaluating early progress.

Support execution

Help coordinate the agreed work, review early operating information, and identify adjustments with the responsible leadership team.

Defined for your organization

Each level stands on its own. Choose a concept review, a deeper planning engagement, or a fuller project that combines planning and implementation. The scope, deliverables, responsibilities, and fees are agreed in writing before work begins. A concept review provides an initial assessment based on agreed information. A feasibility engagement adds the agreed research and financial assumptions. Client leadership retains business and clinical decisions; additional professional input is separately arranged when needed.

Before we begin

Common questions.

Can we engage you just to review an idea?

Yes. A Concept Review is a complete engagement on its own. Bring your idea and available information; the work helps identify strengths, risks, questions, and useful next steps. You do not need a finished business plan or a commitment to a larger project.

How is a concept review different from a feasibility study?

A concept review is an initial assessment of the idea and agreed information. A feasibility engagement adds the specified market research, demand assessment, financial assumptions, and operating detail. The proposal makes that distinction clear.

Can you help us carry out the full project?

Yes, when the work fits the agreed scope. A fuller engagement can combine operating-plan development, setup coordination, practical materials, launch support, and early operating reviews. Responsibilities and any outside professional support are agreed before work starts.

Do we need to use the law firm as well?

No. Advisory can be engaged independently. Legal services, if needed, require a separate engagement with counsel and separate scope and fees.

Can the work address an international opportunity?

Yes, when the question and required expertise fit the agreed scope. The research and operating model follow the local context. Language, local participants, travel, and professional input are agreed before work starts.

What should we expect from the analysis?

A reasoned assessment with its sources, assumptions, limitations, and practical next steps. Forecasts are planning assumptions; an engagement does not promise demand, revenue, approvals, or launch results.
